  3. The program on this disk is version 3.2 of our Windows audio CD Player
  4. program.  It provides complete control over the playing of audio CDs and the
  5. ability to catalogue your collection and browse through it.

  17. (Note that the two upgrade files are packed in UPGRADE.ZIP)

  19. Take a backup of your data files before upgrading!
  20.  
  21. Version 3.2 contains more track fields and increased field lengths for track
  22. titles.  If you have created a database using ver 1.1, you will have to run
  23. the upgrade program to adjust the field sizes.  To do this, install version
  24. 3.2, switch to the directory containing your data and run the program
  25. UPGRADE3.EXE.  E.g.

  28.         CD \CDPLAYER
  29.         UPGRADE3
  30.  
  31. Follow the instructions on the screen and your files will be updated.  Note
  32. that your old files will not be deleted, but renamed to DISCSV2.*.

  34. If you do not have your data stored in the same directory as the programs,
  35. switch to the data directory and call the upgrade program from the floppy
  36. drive, e.g.,

  48. DOS CDPLAYER and MEMORY RESIDENT CD PLAYER
  49.  
  50. This disk should also contain a copy of CDPlayer(TM) for DOS.
  51.  
  52. Registered users will receive a resgistered copy of CDPlayer for DOS and
  53. CDtsr(TM), a memory resident CD player.  This program allows DOS users, who are
  54. running text based programs, to pop up a CD handset similar to that contained
  55. in CDPlayer.  This is very handy for pausing the CD to take a phone call,
  56. carrying on with your current application and then resuming play by popping up
  57. the handset a second time.  Also for playing a new CD without having to close
  58. down your current application.

  62. INSTALLATION

  64. To install CDPlayer, follow the instructions in INSTALL.WIN.

  66. NO MANUAL!

  68. This not normally distributed with the evaluation programs - a copy of
  69. the text is provided on the disk in a file called MANUAL.WIN.  This file
  70. may be printed by typing:

  76.      COPY A:MANUAL.WIN LPT1:
  77.  
  78.      (where A: and LPT1: are replaced with the disk drive and printer port
  79.      you are using)

  84. (ORDER.FRM) and returning it to Jupiter Software.  Registration brings you a

  92. versions of all releases 3.??.  We will also place you on our mailing list for
